Sweets for my sweet

Hello there, this is the new Message Blog of the Cornershop.com website, designed to rally around any topic whatsoever. Its all new to us, and to start with I have decided to show a picture I took yesterday – behind the sweet jars is a London Street that I think will be bigger than the Portobello Road in less than 10 years, but for those of you not in the capital, the sweet jars themselves are candy enough. Thanks to all of Cornershop, a fab CD, it hasn’t been far from the player since I bought it, I have a little boogie in the kitchen, its infectious(in a good way!) , a gem. I saw you play in Birmingham and was totally blown away, even though the lighting wasn’t working properly, not your fault. Look forward to catching you again sometime.

Thanks Cornershop for your creative little souls, :)

It’s a bit difficult to find the new Cornershop CD on the shelves of record stores here in the US. But no matter, I ordered mine from the band’s website and got it within a week. I’ve been listening to it and playing it for friends since then — it’s absolutely great!

(Evan, as far as I know, the 24 hour mix of Spectral Mornings streamed only once back in 2002. I heard some of it back then, and it was just as “mesmerizing and awesome” as you’d expect. Unfortunately, I have no idea when if ever we’ll get to hear it again).

I feel like finally there is some kind of karmic balance in the world… a new record from cornershop! I am in Saint Paul, Minnesota and can’t wait to experience it!

    Spectral Mornings
Where is it possible to listen to this wonderful track? The song is mesmerizing and awesome. I can’t believe that there is a 24 hour version of it! Please let me know where to listen to or obtain the track. Evan

Well, even though George Bush has been out of office for at least 8 months now, this country still sucks because it was 6 weeks before we realized you guys had a new album out. We were just talking about how much we miss Cornershop too!

Ohmigod, this is our very first download ever and we are so glad it can be you guys! Once again, Cornershop has changed our lives.

Can’t wait to hear the whole thing on my real stereo.

Hiya. I was just revisiting Woman’s Gotta Have It yesterday and did a bit of digging on the internet. I will try and get a copy of the new album in Tokyo’s Tower Records or HMV if possible. If not, it’ll be stinking iTunes I suppose. My Paypal has bother at the mo. Glad to see you have lost none of the fire in your bellies. Rock on!

How subliminal to start your Cornershop blog with a picture taken from the inside of a cornershop looking out at the world, just as these missives will give the view and angle from your side of the windscreen.

Candy looks nice, but as far as boiled sweets in a jar go, if it isn’t pear drops, I’m not interested.

I praise God you have a new album out, it is quite frankly, the toppermost of the poppermost.

Peace and love to you dudes.
